my Iphone4 is finally here

although it is the 3gs that i've always wanted

having played around with it

i think i would still need a bit of time getting used to it

let's not forget 

that i was a BB user

the touch screen thing was a bit intimidating at first

hopefully i would get the hang of it ***soon

if i were to choose one between the two

BB wins hands down

becoz i think it's more practical

and easier to maneuver

i guess what sets the Iphone apart from the BB

is the amount of applications

ranging from utilities to entertainment 

and a bigger screen display

that's about it i think?

physically the Iphone 4 is thicker, imo

and it is not not tapered at the corners

and it doesn't come in white!! 

at least that's what i was told

on a separate note

i've got a few things i've gotta do 

which irks me to no end

please please remind me that i've to renew my passport

good thing is, it only takes one or two days to get it done

i sold off my Bold to Ivan today

i remember it was only yesterday that i got my handset back from Maxis

the original one had some defects

so Maxis sent it off for repair for 2 months

ohh the wait for my phone was so agonizing

i was given a loan set which looked and functioned so ciplak-ly

then again it was better than none, the courtesy phone

cause the technicians in Singapore couldn't repair it

therefore Maxis gave me a brand new set

all because of a surprise "special" gift i bought for him

i had to lie and say that i was driving my dad to the hospital to meet someone

what happened was Poonie smsed me to say he would be getting a white Iphone next week

wondering if i was interested cause i was mad craving for it before i bought my berry

and that spurred the whole idea of getting my baby a new phone

the poor fella had to trade in two phones for a Bold2

and was using a cipalang phone as his main work phone

and i recalled him saying several times that his former phone, the E71 had served him well

so i quickly put an order for its presuccessor e72

at first i was a little worried that he might not be happy with my choice

why not?? since men are from mars and we superior being are from uranus

the phone comes in three colors - zodium black, metal gray and topaz brown

i got the metal gray one, with my fingers crossed hoping he'll like it

after CODing with Poonie i quickly dialed baby's number and asked if he wanted to do lunch

he said ok and i waited for him to come over to RH Plaza

then as he sat down i leaned over and said baby i lied

expression on his face? b52 hahhaha

he was shooting questions almost immediately 

then i covered his eyes and took out the box for him to feel and guess what it was

his first guess? you won't believe it

before we were together his hobby was phone hopping

even with his eyes covered he could feel by the box that it was a handphone box

so pro~ and then i let him see for himself

expression on his face? priceless. worth every dollar and cents

but not as elated as i'd hope he would be

out of the blue baby leaned over and told me to stop wasting money

ahhh but this was money well spent, at least i hope

now my baby is hebat with up-to-date gadgets

i know nothing when it comes

to
computers and such
therefore i am asking for help here
from those of you who genuinely
know a tad about laptops or netbooks
do leave a comment before i buy the wrong
netbook and regret later

inititially i was introduced to eeepc
by a colleague who had just bought it
and it looked very sleek and nice to hold
that cost him about RM2k including
all the accessories he had gotten at the same time
and my girlfriends, cynthia and amanda were also raving
about the eeepc

i read several reviews and they ranked eeepc
right up there with the acer aspire one
which costs much less than the eeepc
but can do an equally good job
i guess it all comes down to design
speaking of design i was attracted
to Dell mini in jade green while browsing around
in low yat with him 2 weeks ago
sadly they didn't have any in stock
and i left empty-handed

but when i returned to kuching
i found that the insides of the Dell was
extremely plasticky
it was placed right next to the toshiba
which had the zaniest looking keyboard
separated!!
it was so cool it was love at first sight
but they said that the hinge would grow rusty in time

so i turned to the acer inspire one
black and boring
but cheap @RM1,399 and it has all the specs
the eeepc 1005 HA has
i dunno
then there was the HP mini in matt black
which looked pretty enticing
if this gets any harder

i'd probably buy Kenny's netbook
for an undisclosed sum of course
that's what friends are for
but Kenny's advise was to get the Acer
which was cost-effective
and i agree with him
although when it comes down to design
i'd rate it a 5/10

I mean, what the heck? You don't send text messages at 01.17 mentioning 50% off reductions. I went crazy thinking about the sales, and the madness the next morning. I had to wait until last night before I could lay my hands on discounted products. I had my eye on a vintage-looking bag and a pair of sunnies. These were the only two items I promised myself but no, I succumbed to temptation and that led to my impulse purchase last night. The damage has been done and no immediate corrective actions would fund for my shopping habits this coming Kong and Macau trip, where i intend to stay away from compulsive buying. As if. I was a total failure last night, and instead of just spending RM128, I ended up spending another RM300 more. In the delirious world of the MNG sale, I picked out nine items happily without thinking about the guilt trip later.

The culprit. Yes, I'm still in denial.

Thirty minutes later in Starbucks I was so guilt ridden I had a migraine attack. Not only did Selly and I had to work out on the colored contact lens list, the HP mini took ages to connect to the Starbucks line. The whole staff helped, one after another. I was so ashamed cause they asked if the netbook belonged to me. I could only manage a feeble no. My immediate response was to call the rightful owner who was in Singapore and ignored my call. Prick. Somehow, one hour later I managed to get it up and running and that resulted in a full-blown migraine attack. Dang! He will take full responsibility for all my emotional agony, confusion and pain beyond description.

IT clueless

What started out to be online shopping spree homework became a camwhoring session. As we waited for the page to refresh and refresh, we took advantage of my new 2gb Sony duo pro memory stick. I had been using 2x 256mb all this while and thought it was about time some hardware upgrades. I love my new memory card and intend to buy more. Yes, I am a shopaholic, without a douby. I am condemned to pay credit card bills my whole entire life. sniff. But of course i am no Rebecca Bloomwood. Just eeekay on the spending spree. This has got to stop. Yes. Today. I am going to do my credit transfer and do what someone in their right mind would do. Pay, and continue shopping. I am impossible.
