Moron

signing into Blogger makes me feel like a moron
it takes about 30 min just for me to log in
because Blogger decided that
each and everyone of us create some new account to log in

it's confusing me
i'm lucky i am able to sign in anyway

speaking of morons
i am one too

i picked a fight with the wrong person
my mum :(
needless to say she won
by running off with the maid

ok, she didn't run off literally
she brought my kakak to Sibu for my aunt

that means i'm back to mopping floors every single fucking morning
i had time off for about a week
that made it the best week i've had so far this year

btw it is the boyfriend's birthday tomorrow
still cracking my head how to celebrate it in a special way
sucks that tomorrow is a working day

well maybe i could get him to take leave for tomorrow
but that doesn't mean he can run away from responsibilities

i swear he has thousands of calls to answer everyday
annoying can?

ok i'm gonna look for a dress that i can fit into
and then get ready for candle-lit dinner

but what if the place we are going has no candles?
should i stuff some in my bag?

so unglam

cruising in and out

of KL recently
my last trip was in January
next one's a week away
this time i hope all efforts won't go to waste
those that know me well enough will know what i mean *winkz*
those tat don't it don't really matter

what matters most is my reunion with my eBerry
had a problem with my three-month old Berry and had to sent it for repair
camera was giving me problems
they couldnt fix it so they replaced it with a brand new one
Maxis ain't that bad after all
but not with my mum's help

oh by the way
me smarter this year
spent Valentine's day today
a day earlier
because it clashes with cny reunion dinner
thinking it would save us quite abit
it turned out to be just the opposite
hoteliers ain't dumb lolx

e is bored

lain gaya lain rasa

a friend's motto
which fits my birthday celebrations this year perfectly
if only i was blind-folded to my room
it would have been a jaw-dropping moment
i'd never expect to experience such a romantic moment
the first of its kind
i was so surprised i forgot my manners
and went on taking pictures
without stopping to say thank you

been donkey years since i had a romantic birthday celebration
year after year a celebration with a big crowd
usually made my day
but this was different
this was unexpected
left me gobsmacked it did

everything was carefully planned
from the balloons to the present to the cake
and in house dining
completely swept off my feet
spent my birthday eve in the swanky 5 * Pullman Kuching
just couldn't get any better

even dinner was put into careful thought
one western one asian
just in case
u know what i mean
the lamb ribs were tender and succulent
and the nasi ayam raja penyet teased my palettes to bits

when it struck midnight
there was also a cake
in my favorite flavor, cheese..
it almost got me teary-eyed
a single rose, a pair of ear rings and a cake
what more could a girl ask for

*completely bare-faced/horror/no makeup*

woke up the next day to a fine selection of bread and pastries
salad and cold cuts
yogurts and cereals
and some other normal breakkie food
baked beans, omelets, sausages, beef bacon,
porridge with condiments, soup noodles
fruits and cakes

a big thank you to that special someone whom i wish to keep anonymous

xoxo

smashing night

it was
not a figure of speech
but literally, i smashed a coffee mug
there are 1001 reasons as to why i smashed the mug
could be because i was too happy-euphoric?
maybe the mug looked ugly
it made the coffee taste like oxtail soup or, or
it was too heavy for my delicate hands, or
maybe i followed instructions of feng shui masters Lillian Too or Joey Yap
anyhow, i smashed the cup
'nuf said

it was suppose to be a memorable night
oh yes it was
the balloons, cake, present, room service and all
but it had to end with a broken glass
heck blame it on me
i have the habit of breaking mugs
trust me nothing can be as fulfilling as breaking a mug
it's out of this world

the night is made even more spectacular
when doors were slammed
balloons were popped
in anger mind you
tantrums... oooo don't you just love them
just when you are trying your best to avoid an argument
a glass breaks out of nowhere
after 15 min of holding it in

last year's birthday was a real bombastic one
this year - S M A S H I N G
i would never forget what happened last night
everything is taken into account
imma bad gal i smash mugs
the blame is on the ungrateful me
thanks for taking your time to impress me
i appreciate all of it, even the tantrums

a big shout out to all of you who wished me happy birthday on facebook
it is the greatest social networking site
a big hand to those of you who sent a personal sms
u know who you are ....
thank you for having me in your thoughts

on birthdays they normally say
many happy returns of the day.........
i think not
many more to come?
i fucking hope not

xoxo
happy birthday to me

7 friggen hours later

i am finally able to go online
i have to say that my mood is far from fine and dandy
something happened this morning
so bad is irrevocable
and i'm still feeling the pain
*ouch*

our hotel is right smack in town
on the left is Lot 10
on my right is KL Plaza
and Pavilion is within 5 min walking distance
damn chun the location
oh, Louis Vuitton is also very very near

thing is
despite its strategic location
i feel trapped in the room
i feel like i've checked into a room in either in HK or Tokyo
where space is grossly small
i'm putting up at the new boutique hotel
Piccolo Hotel which is still under construction

the first place we went was KLCC
to Maxis to get something sussed out
the result wasn't very favorable
and i'm very depressed over the matter
in fact i think i'm going to pop a chill pill to calm me down
my jittery nerves
i'm so cham
pity me will ya????

this is suppose to be my pre-birthday celebration trip
but i think i screwed it up this morning
i had originally hoped for a smooth sailing trip
but let's just say the big man up there is playing some tricks with me
have mercy on me will ya??
it is after all my birthday
i hope, really, fingers crossed
that whatevs that has happened is a blessing in disguise

don't mind me
i've been trying to console myself since this morning
i've lost all desire to shop, club etc
this is bad
but i ate
i had vietnamese and it wasn't that great
the iced coffee sucked to the max
ahhhh bugger
we'll see what happens tonight
sorry for the blurry pictures
*****much love and hope*****
e
hopefully i will be able to get the cx2!!

futile efforts

to make my mum proud today
she personally called to remind me yesterday
to represent her at a millionaire investment talk dinner
now just so you know my mum is one who'd never ask for favors
not one to let her down
i went to great lengths to make sure my nails looked good
including my toe nails
i sat for 3 friggen hours
not knowing it would take that long
as this was my first time i put on acrylic nails

i had wanted to curl my hair first
but because everyone was busy and no one was available
i decided to paint my nails first
i had to wait for fiona to rush from town to bdc
before she began the nerve-wrecking job
i think her eyes were sore from all the filing and painting
luckily gina was there and there was someone to talk to
being as restless as i am
i normally can't sit for more than an hour

but i sat through the whole ordeal only because
fiona was doing her best
and it was my first *virgin* try at acrylic nails
when my nails were done i rushed over to yuki
to have my hair curled, rinsed and curled
i told her to do a rush rush job because
i didn't want to be late
as it was already nearly 6.15pm
not long later, my hair was curled the way i liked it,
big big curls made me happy

but my ego was somewhat bruised
when my date told me my nails looked funny
and that my hair was not that pretty
too curly was his opinion
all i had done i felt went down the gutter on just two comments
i had to sit through a lecture
listen to him lament on things that he wasn't even unsure of
but i think i'm seriously tired of this suspicion
and the paranoia
I AM A FUCKING PATIENT
who takes medication daily

well
having heard all those unnecessary banter
i decided not to go
but fiona said to me that i should make my mum proud
and i should still go even though i was late
better late than never right?
she had a point
i already made the effort to do my nails and hair
why not go? even if i had to go alone
and i chose to go despite the fact that i rang my mum
to tell her that i was feeling ill

there was a tad of disappointment in her tone
i could sense it, of course, being her daughter
my dad said to stay home if i was feeling sick
and i questioned myself
conscience got the better of me and i told myself
i had to attend this dinner
because my mum rang me to inform me
reminded me this morning
dad smsed me twice
and she smsed me at 7pm

i had to go
and i went
fashionably late you could say
the event which began on time at 6.30pm
ended sharply at 8.30pm
i was searching for the venue like a chicken without a head
and i still couldn't find the hall that it was held in
i had the concierge radio the people above
only to confirm with me that
everyone had left and the event was officially over
i was gobsmacked

then an sms arrived
dad
"mum is proud that you went even though you were late"
she knows you made an effort
i did i really did
i hope deep inside her heart
she doesn't think that i didn't think much of the event
i have my nails and hair to prove
i wanted to make you proud mum i did
if only i arrived an hour earlier

tomorrow is another dispiriting day for me
as i face the challenge of dealing with someone who's
much more experienced than i am
who knows more than i do
and fingers crossed i get this right
i don't want any litigation linked to the matter
wish me luck guys
i've consulted a few friends
and have come to a final decision
pray for me

i really need your support
my family is not around
i am most vulnerable when my family is not around
and it doesn't help when the closest person to you does not agree with you
i am alone again
just like before
i need strength i need support
morally and physically
i'm reaching out my hand
but there is no help in sight

♥ food glorious food ♥

What wouldn't we give for
That extra bit more
That's all that we live for
Why should we be fated to
Do nothing but brood
On food
Magical food
Wonderful food
Marvellous food
Fabulous food!!!!

and then you pack on the pounds
had so much wonderful food in KL
i can't bear to look in the mirror or have another webcam conversation
that's how bad it is
shoulders are widening
hips are sizin up
she knows what i'm pinin' about

they always say
a moment on the lips
forever on the hips
in short, i'm just growing sideways
and at this rate it won't be long before i stab myself to death or slit my wrist
or jump off some building
lolx

i've never been a local food fan
especially in KL where you can fine dine
this trip was made special by Jeff who had requested for local food
every inch of the way
i had to give in to his requests
due to reasons known only to Ivan, him and I

so reluctantly, i joined them for
supper after zoukin'
i think only lou shu fun was responsible
for the 0.5kg gain
located in Petaling St
most locals and tourists will drop by
the popular hawker stall for some lou shu fun
to pamper their palette
and
satiate their hunger

.:very popular "night" dish:.

.:chu yoke mein:.

.:fried pig intestines with small chillies to taste:.

frankly speaking i amazed myself
by opening up to local food
the next day we had to satisfy Jeff's cravings for noodles
so Ivan brought us someplace far (think traffic jam)
for noodles with gravy, lum mein i think
i personally am not a fan of soupy wet noodles
so mine came dry and black, soya sauce i presume
on a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give it a pass, 5
nothing can rival that of kolo mee in my hometown hehe
i think Nicolekiss can testify to this
to quote Nicolekiss:
I don’t know about most of the people out there, but I somehow LOVE the ‘dry noodles’ they tend to serve in East Malaysia compare to West Malaysia. The noodles they usually served in kolo-mee, the chewy elastic effect and simply knocks me out each time I take a bite.

.:just thought it was memorable:.

.:huge as menu board:.

.:wet noodles:.

.:dry noodles, mine:.

.:side dishes: dried beancurd skin and fishball soup:.

every meal with Jeff was nothing short of gastronomic
including dinner at Prego's @ Westin that night
we had one rosemary garlic bread that came in the form of a pizza
and a real pizza with salami, cheese, ham and other toppings
one aglio olio, if u've been with me long enough
you'd immediately know that is my favorite
and a tiramisu dessert to try
so creamy it brought us to 7th heaven

.:the esteemed:.

.:pamperin me with Italian cuisine:.

.:picture that is worth a thousand words:.

lucky for me it rained cats and dogs after zoukin' on saturday
plans to go to Jalan Alor for "kung pao eel" were scrapped almost immediately
in part due to my tummy ache
for some strange reason it decided to torture me right after clubbin
poor boys were so hungry they ordered McD's
which arrived within 40 min but all soft and soggy
well better late than never
minus the soggy part
no picchas to show cause i was asleep then

Kim Gary is a must whenever i visit KL
imho it is better than most char charn teng in HK
believe it or not, or maybe it's just me
i love it when food is served the home cooked way
i always always order the shanghai ribs with vege
or the shanghai pork chop with vege
and cold milk tea
just those two will make my day, ridiculous i know
ivan is so sien of it already * giggles

had Tony Roma's for dinner upon Ivan's recommendation
T.R embraces the challenge to cater to a wide range of food but
hearsay their ribs are one of the best in town
too bad pork is not served at the flagship restaurant in Pavilion
or any other T.R restaurant in Malaysia, unlike in Singapore & the US
ordered ribs, pasta and deep fried shrooms
i must say the ribs stood up to the plate
***lick lick***

.:the iconic dish:.

.:odd but interesting:.

food glorious food

.:main entrance:.

can be found at
at Jambu restaurant near Civic Center
my second or third time there
was blown away completely by the interior
non-smokers sit upstairs in the air-conditioned room
while smokers are shown to another lair below
which is beautifully decorated with art pieces
and elaborate furniture even animal skins
my kinda place

.:vibrant colors are an instant cheer up:.

.:a mini bar for patrons on lower ground floor:.

.:alfresco dining:.

.:the whole patio:.

.:a decorative striped cloth that doubles as a roof:.

.:adding that extra touch:.

best of all it had a mirror ball in one corner
that makes you wanna dance while eating
and they play excellent music all night long
i was so impressed i didn't want to leave
but my euphoric experience was shortlived
when my friend stood up for the tab
as he had to be somewhere else by 7.30p.m
major bleh!

.:mirror ball in the background:.

.:this is scarlet:.

.:pure bliss:.

.:look so contented:.

.:scarlet's a baby compared with Fifi:.

Scarlet's a resident cat who wasn't afraid of us at all
even hopped onto the couch to sit with us
lazing around just like my Fifi
the owner had six other cats!!
i love scarlet so much
i wanted to stuff him in the bag
Fifi'll get pissed though
bad idea

.:artsy fartsy stuff:.

.:strange beautiful artwork:.

.:my favorite pasta:.

.:chicken pate:.

well better to have seen it than never ;)
we had the aglio olio my favorite dish
and also a lighter dish a chicken pate
both were very nice
i am thinking of going back to jambu
if only i consumed alcohol
i'd definitely be there every night for some light snacks
and a bit of red wine to go with
three boos for ericka
;(
