My crowning glory

i've had black hair for the longest time i remember

the only time i colored my hair 

was when i was in NZ and 

that was like some decade ago, if i recall correctly

black has always been my perennial choice

because it is fuss free

and i don't have to go for any touch up

and mostly because i can't deal with sitting hours and hours

waiting for my hair to be done

but out of the blue

one fine day

introduced by my friend, who has this mane of gorgeous hair

that i really envied i decided to check out the salon

who colored her hair

that day i thought i was just going to check the place out

but i sat down and started to look at the color chart and the rest was history

and on that fateful day

with the encouragement from a few friends

emboldened by the stylists i decided to bleach my hair to color my hair

but because i wanted a quickie my hair turned out awkward

lighter at the crown and darker at the ends

so the next day i had it rectified on the house

choosing a different color altogether, an ashy series

Anthony and Korea together to the rescue again

this time round i left my hair entirely to the professionals and kept my mouth shut

i didn't rush them unlike the day before

silky and shiny hair is what you get when you don't rush them

leaving them to do it at their own pace

but their hands were deft

cause they were good at what they did best

and all i could say was i was pleasant surprised

that my hair remained soft and silky even after that bleached it twice

back to back in two days!

and was also very focused on the job

being the perfectionist that he is

scars and pock marks

are highly annoying if they are on the legs or anywhere palpable 

i used to have heaps of them in my younger days

and remember feeling on top of the world

when my mum brought me to a doctor

and he solved the problem with a jab

voila, smooth skin 

almost immediately

i've been craving for that jab

unfortunately my mum couldn't remember which doctor it was

oi 1986 is a long time ago....

so i had to go around on my own

with some information and snooping around of my own

i patronized Wong Yien beauty center yesterday

i was such an easy sell

after the lady briefed me through the procedure 

i was like yea let's do it

i took all my jewelry off and 

followed her to a small room with a small bed on level 2

and the process began

with somekind of robot-like apparatus 

she worked on my two legs which had the most pock marks

the procedure was over in about 10 min

and i had high hopes that the minute i got into the car

all would be gone

gullible yes?

my legs were not only professionally burnt

i was professionally charged as well

1 1/2 square centimeter for RM25

10 spots for RM250

it was such a pain for me to pay in cash

but a credit card came outta nowhere

i turned around and it was baby who offered to pay

don't misunderstand me

i'm not saying all boyfriends would pay

but it is just a bonus if they do

and mine did

wala wala walala

***smug***

sidetracked sorry

well the scars are still there

and the laser marks are still visible

looks like i'm gonna have to go back for optimized results

darn!

by the way i held on to baby's hands like i was going through labor

the nurses were giggling but i was ok

hehhehe

my faulty lenses

i ordered not too long ago
irritates my eyes every time i put them on

at first i decided to just let the matter rest and order another pair
but my cuzzie suggested that i should ask the seller if they could replace them
since it came with a defect
so i mustered my courage (things liddat very embarrassing leh)
and asked her politely if she'd replace them
no answer
smed her
no answer
called her repeatedly for 3 times
no answer


then i wrote to her about ordering more since things weren't looking rosy
then out of the blue she smsed me back saying she was going through exams
i on the otherhand, needless to say was ecstatic
not only did she say she'll replace my lens
i ordered five more pairs from her
that is including six pairs i ordered from other sellers
but i find her very very efficient
by the way i was asked to send the defect pair back to her
for clarification which i did yesterday
damn cost me RM8.90


i am wondering if she should bear the costs
ah but nevermind
they are getting replaced
woo hooooooooooooo

my parcel arrived yesterday

my super nudy grey contact lens has arrived
the seller damn efficient
put it on immediately
but there was discomfort in my left eye
took the lens out to check
there was a scratch
darn

have written to her about it
still waiting for her reply if she'll replace it
i hope she does
cause if not then i'll have to give her a bad testi
really don feel like doing that
but i cant walk around with sore eyes
they are really pretty though
and really make your eyes look M A S S I V E

gave me a new look almost everyday
of all the make-up products
i believe in benefit the most

my hair

is my crowning glory
since i cut my hair to a bob
i've had to live with the misery of growing long hair
which can take months or years
but i now have long long rapunzel hair
thanks to hair extensions
which aren't a hassle to take care of really
some find it irritating and hard to maintain
but i haven't found problems so far

one can say i flew to KL
to fix my hair
the last trip i put in altogether 200 strands
half of which fell off in two months time
this time i put them all back and
added another 100 strands
all in the salon charged me RM250
for the extra strands and labor
which i think is a very reasonable price ...

what i didn't know was that yesterday
one of them had fallen off already
my friend picked it up and kept it from me
fearing that i might be unhappy if i saw it
i'd preferred him to hand it over so i can keep it
and ask the stylist to put it back on the next time i go back there
oh well
nobody understands anyway #@#%$#$^$#

i'm really pleased with what Brenda's done with my hair
she added volume with another 100 strands
but because she was so high in demand that day
she forgot to layer my hair
which means the sides have a big chunk of hair
i guess i'll just have to visit a local salon
and ask them to layer the sides for me
that will make me smile a bit


ericka is unhappy because she is missing out
on a big opportunity
but as old as she is
she won't be doing much anyway
the fire within is fading within her

Level Up

seems to be my only sanity these days

Working out helps de-stress, I mean it

Its better than retail therapy, sometimes

Maybe ya'll should join a gym and u can feel it for urself.

Doesn't have to be Level Up (I'm not helping Kenny promote) unless u want to workout at the best equipped gym THAT does not stink to high heavens!!

I've just finished a two-hour workout. Feeling? Indescribable!! Btw I can fit into my xs dress again despite my weight gain!! Euphoric!

Bought the dress in Sg. And u know how tiny the sg gals are petite and tiny. Guess it's my only consolation thus far having put on 9kg since May this year.

futile efforts

to make my mum proud today

she personally called to remind me yesterday
to represent her at a millionaire investment talk dinner
now just so you know my mum is one who'd never ask for favors
not one to let her down
i went to great lengths to make sure my nails looked good
including my toe nails
i sat for 3 friggen hours
not knowing it would take that long
as this was my first time i put on acrylic nails


i had wanted to curl my hair first
but because everyone was busy and no one was available
i decided to paint my nails first
i had to wait for fiona to rush from town to bdc
before she began the nerve-wrecking job
i think her eyes were sore from all the filing and painting
luckily gina was there and there was someone to talk to
being as restless as i am
i normally can't sit for more than an hour



but i sat through the whole ordeal only because
fiona was doing her best
and it was my first *virgin* try at acrylic nails
when my nails were done i rushed over to yuki
to have my hair curled, rinsed and curled
i told her to do a rush rush job because
i didn't want to be late
as it was already nearly 6.15pm
not long later, my hair was curled the way i liked it,
big big curls made me happy

but my ego was somewhat bruised
when my date told me my nails looked funny
and that my hair was not that pretty
too curly was his opinion
all i had done i felt went down the gutter on just two comments
i had to sit through a lecture
listen to him lament on things that he wasn't even unsure of
but i think i'm seriously tired of this suspicion
and the paranoia
I AM A FUCKING PATIENT
who takes medication daily

well
having heard all those unnecessary banter
i decided not to go
but fiona said to me that i should make my mum proud
and i should still go even though i was late
better late than never right?
she had a point
i already made the effort to do my nails and hair
why not go? even if i had to go alone
and i chose to go despite the fact that i rang my mum
to tell her that i was feeling ill

there was a tad of disappointment in her tone
i could sense it, of course, being her daughter
my dad said to stay home if i was feeling sick
and i questioned myself
conscience got the better of me and i told myself
i had to attend this dinner
because my mum rang me to inform me
reminded me this morning
dad smsed me twice
and she smsed me at 7pm

i had to go
and i went
fashionably late you could say
the event which began on time at 6.30pm
ended sharply at 8.30pm
i was searching for the venue like a chicken without a head
and i still couldn't find the hall that it was held in
i had the concierge radio the people above
only to confirm with me that
everyone had left and the event was officially over
i was gobsmacked

then an sms arrived
dad
"mum is proud that you went even though you were late"
she knows you made an effort
i did i really did
i hope deep inside her heart
she doesn't think that i didn't think much of the event
i have my nails and hair to prove
i wanted to make you proud mum i did
if only i arrived an hour earlier


tomorrow is another dispiriting day for me
as i face the challenge of dealing with someone who's
much more experienced than i am
who knows more than i do
and fingers crossed i get this right
i don't want any litigation linked to the matter
wish me luck guys
i've consulted a few friends
and have come to a final decision
pray for me

i really need your support
my family is not around
i am most vulnerable when my family is not around
and it doesn't help when the closest person to you does not agree with you
i am alone again

my ideal

weight is 43-45kg
and bad news
i am far from reaching my goal
even though i hit the gym everyday
in fact, it's making me heavier due to built-up muscles
but then i was told that
my weight will eventually drop back to normal
when the body is used to the exercises

i have been waiting for that miracle to happen since August
it is now October November and there has been no changes to my size or weight yet
previously one could say that i deserve to gain weight for not doing anything
but hey ever since level up opened i've been going to the gym everyday
at one point i was only 41kg
but that was when i was really under severe stress
well at least i looked good
now i just look like a pork bun

so i guess RM548 hasn't gone to waste
imma see how long it'll grow
but i'm still faced with temptations to extend them
when i visit KL next week
