every now and then there is a need to let loose

and that was exactly what i did last night

my first time at a KTV in Taipei!!

compared with the prices back home

it is relatively costly to sing here whether you eat or not

*stupid me, i didn't eat*

they have the latest songs, very updated

except English songs

but i managed to belt out a few that i knew

including MJ's Beat it

wahahahhahahaha

Wishing my brother

a happy birthday

from the bottom of my heart!!

although his birthday is another few days away

we celebrated it earlier

because i know he'd be busy on that day/night itself 

like every other year

i never get him a present

because a red packet means he can buy whatever he likes

rather than to give him something

he doesn't like

but me being me

i got something for him

nothing expensive *cause he has angpows already

i can safely say he'd like it

cause he loves his iPhone that much, LOR

but he won't be getting it until the day itself - Aug 12th

yes he is an August baby!!

i can't wait for my birthday

cause i'll turn a year older wtf

Celebration

Father's day celebration was simple and quick

just as my dad had wanted

held at Sarawak Club, we ordered a few of their signature dish

and called it a night

no cake no nothing

it was really a no frills dinner

but dinner didn't disappoint

it has been a while since i last ate there

Feeling satisfied and satiated

i fell asleep the minute i hit the sack

and remained there till next morning at 9

not bad eh?

Missing the good days

when us three gals

would wine and dine and SHOP!!

till kingdom comes

forward one year later its like everyone has something up their sleeve

one has a new baby now

so i'm sure the new mum would be doting on her son

day and night

the other went ahead and got engaged

and wedding pictures taken

and me?

stay coup up at home

wishing money would drop from the sky

only the portion in front of my house, within the gates

wonder how long will it be before the three of us

can sit down and have coffee

better still, C L U B

i've left the blog idle for several months now

but am playing catch up by blogging more

not that i will or am greatly missed

but three to four entries a month is not a valid excuse LOR

by my standards la....

after a long break what should i share with ya'll

oh my parents' anniversary

we had peking duck at Li Garden last night

ordered a tad too many

9 dishes in all !!!!

i didn't get any present for both mum and dad

AND mother's day is just around the corner so

i've really gotta start saving up for some kinda present

my savings are almost depleted ****

when i peek into my wallet 

i get very intimidated when there's less than RM100

gag! but wait i have more in my wallet's secret compartment

cruising in and out

of KL recently

my last trip was in January

next one's a week away

this time i hope all efforts won't go to waste

those that know me well enough will know what i mean *winkz*

those tat don't it don't really matter

 

what matters most is my reunion with my eBerry

had a problem with my three-month old Berry and had to sent it for repair

camera was giving me problems

they couldnt fix it so they replaced it with a brand new one

Maxis ain't that bad after all

but not with my mum's help

oh by the way

me smarter this year

spent Valentine's day today

a day earlier

because it clashes with cny reunion dinner

thinking it would save us quite abit

it turned out to be just the opposite

hoteliers ain't dumb lolx

e is bored

 

heckuva Saturday

it was today

for someone who normally sleep during weekends
17 straight hours spent out
is nothing short of remarkable
the day started from 9a.m
scuttled all over town
covering most suburbs (if you may)
caught a movie and a dinner
another reason to shout about
is i came home RM100 richer - we'll leave that for another day


have you ever felt like you bought alot of things
only to come home to find that it wasn't that many after all
no damage control needed
on a brighter note
i shed 2kgs
*****jumping jacks*****
best news i've had in months
even though i had to visit the A&E
for a jab
RM40.40 to find out that i am 2kgs lighter
is pure bliss

thank you big man up there
i won't be eating noodles for sometime to come

my birthday dinner

was a super simple one
no frills
no 5 star hotel
no restaurant
just plain ol Richmond on Ellis Road
with my family and two cuzzies from Singapore



reason why i chose the place?
i love their lamb chop
super nice can
i leave that place with a smile each time
which was why i insisted on Richmond
instead of Toh Yuen in Hilton hotel
where we'd normally celebrate birthdays

***damn my brother still looks good even in NGs***

amazingly there was no after party after the dinner
all my friends have left ....
so much for my birthday
once a year pffft

celebrating

Ivan's birthday

though there were only 4 of us
we were very happy
eating seafood at pantai indah
followed by a singing session at Neway karaoke
and when the clock struck 12
Wendy came in with a cake
which really gave Ivan a surprise

I was really happy that my friend was happy that night
i was so carried away i took a mic and began singing along with Wendy
that woman can really sing
and guess what?
she sings with Hannah Tan and her sister
I can't wait to meet Hannah Tan
another Malaysian export
hehehhehe

I wish Wendy was here
How i wish i could go to HK and China with her tomorrow
but who am I fooling?
who am I anyway.....

for chilling out after a long day
the restaurant which incorporates a fusion concept
is a blend of east mix west
which is now taking the city by storm

About three quarters of its customers are expatriates
with the remaining being locals
the food is freshly prepared
especially its woodfired pizza which is a must try!
besides the food which is bound to tease your palettes
there is a massive projector
for footy fans!!



last but not least
i must thank Richard for taking us to souled out
after which we went back to our hotel to chill out at the coffee house
at first i was quite shy around him
but as the night went on
i found him mesmerizing and wise
i guess it takes an older man to understand women
they say women are 10 years more mature than man in real life
what say you?

futile efforts

to make my mum proud today

she personally called to remind me yesterday
to represent her at a millionaire investment talk dinner
now just so you know my mum is one who'd never ask for favors
not one to let her down
i went to great lengths to make sure my nails looked good
including my toe nails
i sat for 3 friggen hours
not knowing it would take that long
as this was my first time i put on acrylic nails


i had wanted to curl my hair first
but because everyone was busy and no one was available
i decided to paint my nails first
i had to wait for fiona to rush from town to bdc
before she began the nerve-wrecking job
i think her eyes were sore from all the filing and painting
luckily gina was there and there was someone to talk to
being as restless as i am
i normally can't sit for more than an hour



but i sat through the whole ordeal only because
fiona was doing her best
and it was my first *virgin* try at acrylic nails
when my nails were done i rushed over to yuki
to have my hair curled, rinsed and curled
i told her to do a rush rush job because
i didn't want to be late
as it was already nearly 6.15pm
not long later, my hair was curled the way i liked it,
big big curls made me happy

but my ego was somewhat bruised
when my date told me my nails looked funny
and that my hair was not that pretty
too curly was his opinion
all i had done i felt went down the gutter on just two comments
i had to sit through a lecture
listen to him lament on things that he wasn't even unsure of
but i think i'm seriously tired of this suspicion
and the paranoia
I AM A FUCKING PATIENT
who takes medication daily

well
having heard all those unnecessary banter
i decided not to go
but fiona said to me that i should make my mum proud
and i should still go even though i was late
better late than never right?
she had a point
i already made the effort to do my nails and hair
why not go? even if i had to go alone
and i chose to go despite the fact that i rang my mum
to tell her that i was feeling ill

there was a tad of disappointment in her tone
i could sense it, of course, being her daughter
my dad said to stay home if i was feeling sick
and i questioned myself
conscience got the better of me and i told myself
i had to attend this dinner
because my mum rang me to inform me
reminded me this morning
dad smsed me twice
and she smsed me at 7pm

i had to go
and i went
fashionably late you could say
the event which began on time at 6.30pm
ended sharply at 8.30pm
i was searching for the venue like a chicken without a head
and i still couldn't find the hall that it was held in
i had the concierge radio the people above
only to confirm with me that
everyone had left and the event was officially over
i was gobsmacked

then an sms arrived
dad
"mum is proud that you went even though you were late"
she knows you made an effort
i did i really did
i hope deep inside her heart
she doesn't think that i didn't think much of the event
i have my nails and hair to prove
i wanted to make you proud mum i did
if only i arrived an hour earlier


tomorrow is another dispiriting day for me
as i face the challenge of dealing with someone who's
much more experienced than i am
who knows more than i do
and fingers crossed i get this right
i don't want any litigation linked to the matter
wish me luck guys
i've consulted a few friends
and have come to a final decision
pray for me

i really need your support
my family is not around
i am most vulnerable when my family is not around
and it doesn't help when the closest person to you does not agree with you
i am alone again
just like before
i need strength i need support
morally and physically
i'm reaching out my hand
but there is no help in sight
