In a flick of an eye

37 days have passed

 since my cousins arrived on Malaysian shores

today will be the last day of their vacation

before they return to Singapore tomorrow where the grueling begins

i foresee that when they return home

they will be slammed with more homework than ever

in preparation for the new year ahead

and we, especially mum, will miss them heaps

oh well, there’s always next year end

because it is an annual thing

after year-end exams they would be sent back here again

where there is no stress or pressure on studies

miss you guys!!

the sad thing is, i didn’t even take that many

pictures with them

Camwhoring

bored in the car

the cousin and I decided to camwhore with her HTC Sense

although i have my doubts about picture quality

the pictures turned out pretty darn good

these are my cousins from Singapore

they come visit me every year-end, for about 1-2 months

and during this period i am most happy

because the house is filled with laughter, loud and boisterous

i think i shall buy Christmas presents today

happy mood

i’ve actually figured out what to get for everybody

the boyfriend’s present arrived yesterday

he LIKED it, phew

i had a quiet birthday, spent it with the people i cared for

and cared for me in return

 

 

 

 

 

also would like to thank so many people

for so many wonderful gifts and well wishes and red packets too

yea i know you all think i’m too old for ang pao

but i don’t care lo..

most of my birthday wishes were fulfilled

i really can’t ask for more

see, that means i am content and i count myself very lucky

lucky i have you all

for those that forgot it was my birthday

some, even purposely don’t want to wish me a happy birthday

you have your own reasons, and, i can’t force you

so be it

i’m happy

i am content

i have a lot of presents

Celebration

Father's day celebration was simple and quick

just as my dad had wanted

held at Sarawak Club, we ordered a few of their signature dish

and called it a night

no cake no nothing

it was really a no frills dinner

but dinner didn't disappoint

it has been a while since i last ate there

Feeling satisfied and satiated

i fell asleep the minute i hit the sack

and remained there till next morning at 9

not bad eh?

i've left the blog idle for several months now

but am playing catch up by blogging more

not that i will or am greatly missed

but three to four entries a month is not a valid excuse LOR

by my standards la....

let's see

after a long break what should i share with ya'll

oh my parents' anniversary

we had peking duck at Li Garden last night

ordered a tad too many

9 dishes in all !!!!

i didn't get any present for both mum and dad

AND mother's day is just around the corner so

i've really gotta start saving up for some kinda present

my savings are almost depleted ****

when i peek into my wallet 

i get very intimidated when there's less than RM100

gag! but wait i have more in my wallet's secret compartment

phew~

my birthday dinner

was a super simple one
no frills
no 5 star hotel
no restaurant
just plain ol Richmond on Ellis Road
with my family and two cuzzies from Singapore



reason why i chose the place?
i love their lamb chop
super nice can
i leave that place with a smile each time
which was why i insisted on Richmond
instead of Toh Yuen in Hilton hotel
where we'd normally celebrate birthdays

***damn my brother still looks good even in NGs***

amazingly there was no after party after the dinner
all my friends have left ....
so much for my birthday
once a year pffft

happy birthday to mum
mum thought i'd forgotten all about her birthday
when she called to remind me about the dinner at 4points
one of the latest hotels in town
she got a bit upset when i told her that
i couldn't make it
because i know we always start early
& i don't finish till eight you see

so when my immediate superior let me off early
after i'd done all my work
i was thankful and happy
and decided to surprise my mum
and boy was she surprise to see me pop up all of a sudden
at the dinner
of course she was happy
that all of us could make it
and that to me was more than enough

my present for mum this year
was another angpow
since she already has enough
cosmetics and skincare
besides clothes are hard to buy
cause sometimes its just not her taste ;*
not saying either one of us has bad taste
i think we just like different things
so the best was to give her cash to let her buy whatevs she liked


apologize for the noise in foodie picchas
wasn't suppose to be taking picchas of them
that explains for the blurriness
neways i was eventually spotted
and told not to take picchas
so damn embarrassing ok
luckily there weren't that many table
saw my other aunty and her family that night


we had a buffet dinner that night
i must say i was impressed with the
variety of food choices that night
ranging from chinese to japanese to western
we were spoilt for choices
but because there was so much
i didn't manage to quite taste them all
there was even a dessert section
where you could create your own ice kacang!!!
